The free site footer

Help Center article · Updated May 6, 2008

Every page of a website on the Free plan ends with a small MyFirstWebsite footer. It lets visitors know how the site was made, and gives them a quick way to report a problem. We never show ads on members' sites. The footer is all there is.

To remove the footer, upgrade to a Pro or Business plan.

Comment notices

Free sites with comments or a guestbook also show a short note above the comment form, because comments on free sites are reviewed by our moderation team before they appear:

Comments on this site are reviewed by MyFirstWebsite before they appear. Learn more

After a visitor sends a comment, they see:

Thanks! Your comment has been received. It will appear on this site after it has been reviewed by the MyFirstWebsite moderation team. This usually takes 1–3 business days.

If our moderation or reporting system can't be reached, for example during maintenance, visitors see:

Sorry, that didn't work. Our system is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. (Error 503)
